You can set up a standard for how you want your Style Names and Style Numbers to be created - so that you get a uniform naming structure.
You can use just one of them or both at the same time.
SETUP STYLE NAME GENERATOR
When using the Style Name Generator you can set up the standard from which all your Style names should be created.
In Admin / General Settings / Header section you can set up this standard.
Simply click on the "Setup Style Name" button
This will open a pop-up where you can activate the Style Name generator - it will only be active once you set a check-mark in "Set style name logic active"
Once you have activated the Style Name Generator feature you can start to build the structure for your Style Name
In the "Insert Value" drop-down you can select the values you want to be the structure for your Style Name.
They will appear in the text box below.
In the text box, you can also add additional text or characters - if you need them.
In this example, any style will be named as:
- Project name
- Group name
- value of the Custom Field "Origin"
- between each value, there will be a "-"

SETUP STYLE NUMBER GENERATOR
In Admin / General Settings / Header section you can also set up the standard for how your Style Number should be created.
Simply click on the "Setup Style number" button
This will open a pop-up where you can activate the Style Number generator - it will only be active once you set a check-mark in "Set Style number logic active"
Once you have activated the Style Number Generator feature you can start to build the structure for your Style Number.
You will first have to set up how many digits there should be in your Style Number - that is the Consecutive digits.
Then you will need to decide which values should be in your Style Number - this can be:
- Brand name
- Season Name
- Group
- Style Categories
- Style Custom Fields
- The Consecutive number
Once your selection is in place you click on Next.
Now it is time to decide if you should use the same Serial number for all Styles or if they have to be differentiated per a given data set.
If you chose to use the same Serial number for all Styles you can set the starting number in the "Serial number start at"
If instead, your Serial number is dependent on a specific data set - you will have to click "Use multiple serial number for all Styles"
Here you can select which data set the serial number should be based on. You can only choose data sets that you are using to build your Style Number.
These can be:
- Brand
- Season
- Group
- Category
- Style Custom Fields that are of type Allowed value
Once it is selected you can set the starting Serial number for each option.
NOT USING YOUR STYLE NUMBER GENERATOR FOR COPIES OF STYLES
You can set up the Style Number Generator to only generate numbers when you "Add" a style.
This will help you to have better control over which styles are the "original" styles - and which ones are copies.
In Admin -> General Settings -> Header you set up your Style Number Generator.
On the setup pop-up you can set a checkmark in the "Only used when creating a Style"
When you use this setting it will allow you to edit the Style Number after the creation of a new style.
In the case you make copies of the style, the Style Number generator is not generating the numbers.
