COLORS OVERVIEW

The colors overview is a library where you can create the colors that you are going to refer to in the sales and production orders. You will be able to specify more detailed colours about the items in the item details.

This library will be available in the Admin section, under the option 'Colors'.

CREATING A STYLE COLOR

1) Choose the sub-tab 'Colors' and click the 'Add style color' button

3) In the new table row, type in the color name - ID and Pantone fields are optional.

When adding the pantone code, a colored swatch is displayed as you can see in the image below.

NOTE: You cannot create style colors with same name or ID. This is to ensure valid data to the ERP solutions.

4) Click the small green icon to save

 RENAMING A STYLE COLOR

You can change the name of your style colors whenever necessary. Simply mouse over the color name and click the blue edit icon - or double-click on the table row. When in edit mode, type in the new name and click the green small icon to save your changes.

DEACTIVATE A STYLE COLOR

Just like in Groups and Sizes, you can deactivate a color so they will no longer be selectable. The deactivation will not affect the styles already using the style color.

To do so, select the color you want to deactivate and uncheck the option 'ACTIVE'.

INTEGRATION WITH YOUR ERP

If you are going to make integration with an ERP provider, make sure that the IDs and style colors have the same structure as the ERP.

EXTRA SETTINGS

You have extra settings to set up your colors, depending on which module you have access to.
The standard settings available to everyone are:

1) Also use this color library for items

2) Type ahead on Style color and Item Color:

    - Search only on ID

    - Search on Pantone number too

3) Use multiple languages

COLOR LIBRARY FOR ITEMS SETTING

When you check the 'Also use color library for Items' option, the system will display two messages to confirm your action. Simply click OK to proceed.

You will now have more options to choose from regarding Color Cards and a Type-ahead feature. Choose the option the suits your company/brand the best and click the small green button to save.

MULTIPLE LANGUAGES SETTING

If you have acquired the Multiple Language module, it is also possible to use multiple languages for color names.

This option is included in the Marketing add-on module - you can read more about it here.

With multiple languages, different columns are created accordingly to the languages you have sat up in Admin, under 'General" settings'. One column is created per language with English as the default language.
